@AceRimmer. Does the zipper pull tab have the YKK logo?
Itās a retirement thing Ged. The yearning for the old days, when life was much simpler ![]()
Iāll have to start a separate āNo Vinyl Hereā¦or Elseā¦ā threadā¦![]()
Lol, no it does have something on it but itās pretty dirty/ corroded and I canāt read it.
Google to the rescue got this I think.
Edit. I thought it began with P, it appears to be PAN which makes it an early UK pressing with the larger zipper pull tab.
Crazy sh!t for an album cover.
These two sisters (Sidney and Caitlin Powell) started out playing on the street of Boulder years ago when they were both 'tweens, believe it or not, but quickly picked up steam on digital streaming. They do both their own compositions and altrock covers of other bands - and have amazingly strong voices a little reminiscent of the Heart sisters back in the day.
As far as I know all of their āalbumsā are really just singles, but really worth a listen.
Love these guys
Thanks for the info. I always thought that the YKK zipper was on the original vinyl, but I may be wrong. YKK ( Yoshida Kogyo Kabushikikaisha) Is a Japanese company that I worked for +35 years. Gave me the opportunity to retire at 59, so no complaints from me. ![]()
It could well be on an even earlier pressing?
I did not dig to deeply but I saw the PAN for early UK/Europe pressings and then STAR for later pressings but with what it said was a smaller zipper pull tab
Actually my wife bought two box sets in between but as my turntable didnāt work I just used the download codes
. So technically itās the first IāVE bought.
You get that old Technics SL working or buy something newer?
Iām getting all sorts of early Queensryche, Maiden, Zeppelin, Whitesnake and Skid Row vibes when listening to them.
Such an awesome album!
This is also great. Sort of Mercyful Fate and Ghost like.
based on this post
I decided to take matters into my own hands, this was Bingās AI take on what was the UK top 10 this week in 1979.
But alas Bing is quite wrong here about several tracks (I chose the bad Plus myself)
This is the correct Top 10 from the week in question
And all because the man loves Vacqueyras!

Youāll never suck me in. Iām digital 'til I die. ![]()
Concur, that is a straight 88mph Delorian ride to 1985.
Iām digging it.
From the summer playlist suggestion thread
ā¦which eventually became the roon āpoolsideā (yeuch!) playlist with very few of the suggested tracks included.
Still it was all worthwhile to discover this gem.

My Roon āpoolsideā playlist usually involves a lot of metal and prog rockš.
Never one to be conventional.
