I have only run out once today after my recent half day lock out
So I have one for you
Late seventies I would say. I saw them play at a local music festival in 1983 and they played some stuff from that album. It was a weird gig, at our local football ground (now demolished)
I’m being generous if I say there were more than 70 people watching.
But in your slippers smoking a pipe?
@Matz . No snow here either , just frosty.
I think I can understand why the average football fan might not be interested in acid/rock
Crikey, the Harmon announcement is a bit of a surprise but hopefully will offer some support improvements & new tech developments too.
The future is looking interesting…
EDIT: Looks like no proposed support improvements…
- Our customer success and support services will continue to operate as they do today.

I think the delivery charge is based on the location on the goods, e.g., UK or US. What doesn’t make sense is that some UK releases are priced from the US or vice versa. An example, is Slowdrive, priced in USD.
Has anyone asked them for clarification?
I messaged a couple of bands who said they didn’t handle the delivery. The ones that do and send a little hand written note are the ones charging £3-£4 delivery charges (I always really enjoy that)
It’s one of the the things mentioned in the takeover, was trying to improve distribution and logistics. I suppose we have to give it time
That may explain why my Able Ganz LP, which had a personal note etc., came from the UK for a couple of quid. Maybe they only have a US distribution centre?
I’ve removed countless items from my basket after seeing the delivery charge.
So true, though these days I do a cursory check and mostly the delivery is between 80% and 120% of the media cost. If so I just buy digital, though I recently missed a couple of cheaper ones just assuming it would be expensive.
This album still puts a huge smile on my face every time I listen to it, definitely going to be vying for a place in my top 10 albums of the year
Not bad, 45 minutes and I have my P!nk tickets
Fairly smooth given the number in the queue.
The Iron Roses was finished before I was out of the queue
I’m intrigued with the number of folk buying shed loads of CDs from the local charity shops, do you (or others) actually know and like the items or is it just a build up the numbers for a collection?
I only ask as in my area the charity shop CD selection is fairly meagre & of those available they are either unknown (Which i might purchase) or not to may taste. If I leave the CS with 1 Cd it’s unusual.
one for @Peter_Bruderer
Thanks Matthias.
Same here, but in the last three months I’ve grabbed quite a few for next to nothing. Some were best of / greatest hits of artists I wouldn’t normally buy, but enjoyed what I’ve heard on the radio. Others, gaps or missing from my collection. And then, a few were a punt with mixed results–I’ve taken a few back. Oh, and then I picked up a few I’d forgotten I already had.
I only buy things on my want list or something to replace a low bit rate MP3 that I already have (I still have thousands)
I think i understand
