They are rather legendary out here, despite litte more than a 10 year career, (so far that is). I’ve not really been a huge fan & I think my favourite album is one that’s a bit of an outlier & that was the follow up to 12 Bar Bruise - Eyes Like The Sky - I think that’s the one with sort of a Morricone vibe.
Aztec Camera Stray (1990)
Typically a well received album that some consider the best Aztec Camera album. I love the Mick Jones collab & sounds like an excellent BAD track. However, the remainder of the album I largely find to be an ad hoc mix of styles that aren’t especially strong.
Paul Weller Stanley Road (1995) (Deluxe Edition 2005)
Unfortunately, too much of it is spent on drawn-out grooves that are self-conscious about their own authenticity. (allmusic)
Wow - some harsh words! I think it’s one of Paul’s best solo albums, including some of his best tracks such as:
You Do Something To Me (1995)
Live 2021 @ The Barbican
Track taken from: An Orchestrated Songbook with BBC Symphony Orchestra (2021)
