Merry Christmas Simon. Let’s hope your efforts are rewarded with a seasonal bonus that is superior to that of Clark Griswald😉

I think I underrated this collab when it was first released. I’m a fan of both artists, but I thought it felt contrived. Given the artists, no wonder why it sounds somewhat ad hoc.

So now I see what allmusic was on about:

Corpse Flower is a dark jewel from two remarkable musical iconoclasts. It offers surprise, humor, revelation, tenderness, and excess, with flair and a certain tarnished elegance. It’s a high-water mark for both men, albeit one born from the belly of hell itself. (allmusic)

Nope - that was Australia’s contribution to the pizza world. I’ll grant you Poutine.

Odd…

Pizza with ham, cheese and pineapple is known as Pizza Hawaii here in the Netherlands.

So no Canada or Australia it would seem to me.

Aloha.

Breakfast in America.
What a album.
Don’t you just love that intro to take the long way home.
Supetramp had that rare ability to make you feel so very good about everything.
They made such pleasing music and were supremely talented into the bargain.

Its time for my two favourite Byrds albums now. Both in Mono of course.
I play these at least every month. They are such beautiful albums and never fail to leave me in awe.
At present its Younger Than Yesterday then it will be The Notorious Byrd Brothers.
The former is my fave out of the two. But its a close call.
This is desert island music(with roon of course)
Younger Than Yesterday has to be one of the greatest albums of all time. I could weep at the beauty of this album. Its so invigorating and perfect
“i was so much older then i am younger than that now.”
