I got Thom Yorke out of it. Which means I have to be in the right mood to listen, I wasn’t on Friday so didn’t really gel with me, will need to try again.
Yes it seemed to increase after a few tracks, but I like TY so no issues. I could see that it might have marmite tracks in there for you.
I am rather enjoying it for a first listen and straight into the Smile next (sucker for punishment)
My step father played the crap out of Gilbert and Sullivan operas. I have the same distaste for them as him.
Already telegraphed The Smile which is rather good.
Following that up with my favourite album of cover versions in a long time. Quite unexpected from the first time I heard it.
This album is 5 hours long. I doubt I get through all of it in one sitting…
He does have a slight Thom Yorke think going on vocally. Musically it’s full of backwards nods, particularly to T Rex. I say this as a good thing, not a criticism.
Very nice! What did you get?
Well it’s about time
OMG! Welcome to the club!
He has a pretty large back catalogue for a 36 year old. His earlier stuff is super noisy/raw/garagey! (Is garagey a word?)
How the mighty have fallen.
Are there no digital purists left?
(It’s the best I could find at short notice.)
Over here, in the corner, with my back to the wall…
What did The Boss say, and I ain’t talking about Springsteen
And yes what did you get, I was already expecting it to have been revealed as I scrolled down
Looking forward to listening to some of that, and yes a large catalog of work
