Suhr Classic T in Olympic White.
Very impressive so far although been way too busy for a good workout with it yet.
My Christmas gift to myself, well it was a guitar or another turntable

Thank you very muchly
It’s obviously got the classic Tele ā€œTwangā€ but being not a Fender it has a few more tonal tricks in its bag.

Not really off topic, but…

Most guitar players/listeners have a favorite guitar tone. Gary Moore’s tone or David Gilmour’s tone, but our favorite:

Joe Bonamassa on ā€œMountain Climbingā€ (guitar solo) on the Album ā€œBlues of Desperationā€ done on a Les Paul (and his solo on Drive on the same album…single coil sound)

NORMANS RARE GUITARS has been acquired.

Happy New Year guitar nerds. Parts are starting to show up so I thought I’d share a bit more of my orange and black projects several posts up.

WhatChaThink? My first ever body paint job. If I was charging by the hour it would already be a $10,000 guitar. I’m painfully slow, but happy with the progress to date.

Not really sure what it is just yet. I got a good deal on a fender ultra Telecaster body with white binding. I like all things sparkle plus I’m a fan of the competition stripes on the jazz Masters and mustangs.

Not sure if it comes through in the three pictures above. I’ll have to get another shot. While the top is orange, the sides and back beyond the white binding are all natural.

It has the following paint scheme. Surflight silver base coat, surflight silver flake, candy orange, skid mark black for the stripes, then a trippy acid light top coat before the clear. The trippy acid is Roth flakes version of a Halo flake. It’s all out of a can as I don’t have a proper sprayer setup. So all the flake is relatively small. All in all that I’m pretty happy with my first attempt. It’s got several coats of 2K clear over the top.

Oh yeah…I’m a sucker for sparkly metal flake type finishes on cars, bikes, guitars etc.
Looks excellent so far.
You have a neck for it yet?

Just for you I dug it out of storage. Maybe this will motivate me to get going on it this weekend. No more pix until it’s finished.

Also of the natural back
