Limit search to music files up to 24-bit /96 khz?

Hello
My dac works only up to 24 bit /96 khz.
I mostly use Roon to play music from Qobuz.
When I search through Roon for an album I sometimes get music in 24/192 resolution which obviously doesnt work.
Can I limit my search to music in certain resolutions?

Best regards Lars

In Roon’s Settings > Audio > Device setup, you should be able to tell Roon the maximum sample rate and maximum bits per sample. Roon will then transcode the streams to fit the capabilities of your DAC.

These settings are in the “Advanced” section of the Device setup screen.

Thanks for the reply. I have done as suggested, but still get the 24/192 files when I search for music.

You will still get 192/24 file via search but roon will downsample them so they play so it’s not a problem. You can’t set anything in search to limit resolution you look at versions tab on an album to see if there is a different resolution. If you’re looking via your Roon library then you use focus to limit your parameters to show what you want. Sample rate is in option there but search has no such parameters it’s a global search across local and streaming catalogs and cannot be filtered for such things.

If you use Qobuz then set its streaming settings in services settings to be 96/24 if it worries you so much but if you set your DACs parameters to 96/24 it will just convert anything above so it plays.

Thank you for the explanation
