[Linux, ARM] Roon Bridge: Got a bad hardware address length for an AF_PACKET 16 8

Hello,

I’m trying to create a package for a device of which the manufacturer decided to quit support (armv7, 512MB). Hence, I have to work with the kernel available at that system.

While Roon Bridge works fine, it does give some unusual behaviour at execution (see below for output and log).

My questions:

  1. what seems to be the problem? Can I fix it?
  2. how does the future look like for machines like this? While the outdated kernel and glibc does not really pose a problem right now, will it in the future (or is it likely to)?

Thanks in advance, Maarten

Info on system:
uname -r: 3.8.13
glibc: 2.17
alsa: ?? probably stock version for that kernel

Hi Maarten,
can you specify what (no longer supported) device you are using?
