Lumin D3 static with Roon Upsampling

Hi - hoping to get some advice regarding my new Lumin D3 - if I use Roon to upsample Redbook to 352/384 everything sounds great.

But if I try to upsample native rates any higher (i.e. recordings at 96 or 192) I get static throughout the playback.

If I use Lumin to the upsampling - everything sounds fine. It’s only an issue when I use Roon to upsample high res material. I tries resetting the D3 - no luck.

Any advice or help would be appreciated! Thanks

On further testing - I realized I don’t think it’s related to native rate - it’s clearly a glitch with 384 upsampling via Roon. Upsampling to any other rate is fine including 352.8 and DSD up to 256. Just 384 . . the static is the type I usually associate with latency issues . . .
