Thank you for those details! I would like to escalate your case over to our QA team for further review, but they would likely also need your database folder for tests.

Can you please exit out of Roon/RoonServer and then upload the contents of your Roon/RoonServer contents as a .zip to the following link and let us know once uploaded?

Hi @noris - Do you mean the entire ā€œRoonā€ folder located at ~/Library/Roon (Iā€™m on Mac)
Itā€™s 21GB uncompressed, about 15.5GB zippedā€¦

@beka - I already did upload the entire Roon folder, see my message 6 or so posts above, I can see in the link it is still there. I havenā€™t used Roon since thenā€¦

Itā€™s now been 2 months since I first posted, 2 months without music, 3 new versions of the software, and am still to understand what the problem actually is. Is it database corruption? Running out of file descriptors? Both? Posting because topic closes a month after last reply.

If you disable the external music volumes in settings storage, does this help. 150k tracks in an 8gb ram m1 might be pushing your luck. I run 300k on 16 and itā€™s using over 13gb ramā€¦this is headless so no roon remote interface running just roon server, nothing else other than activity monitor

12.0.1 was unreliable, but 11.6 seemed to be okā€¦since I jumped to 12.2.1 and now 12.3 things are still ok but currently my external 20tb of drives offline still

Also check your security settings for documents and external drives given to Roon.

All the tracks are on a single external volume, so while I havenā€™t tried, if I disable external music volumes that would leave nothing in my library. Or am I misunderstanding?
Re: number of tracks, it ran fine on every build prior to 884 though.
