MacBook Pro - running HQPlayer with the screen closed?

I finally got my M3 Max MacBook Pro running HQPlayer in DSD512 to my DAC 200. I set the MacBook settings to allow the computer to function with the screen closed but when I close it my DAC loses the DSD signal.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?
