MacOS 15 Beta

This might be an issue which is just to do with the beta version of the MacOS 15 beta, though could be something to watch out for later on. I am using this imac as a Roon Server and its been working without an issue since I sorted out port forwarding about 18 months ago.

Roon ARC was working prior to me going to the beta, and with me changing absolutely nothing with port forwarding on my router and google mesh, it is no longer working. I have given roon and roon server network access via the mac, anyone have any other ideas what I should try?

Unless you’re well versed in beta testing, revert back. If this is your main machine, why would you even run a beta update? Seems silly to me to install it and then come to the forums saying it’s not working?

If you’ve got a spare machine, crack away, test it, look for errors/bugs and report them to Apple.

Which means wipe and reinstall, though. There is no other way.

Which, of course, is even more reason not to install a Beta on the daily driver machine.

True.

Alex, be sure to back up your Roon database in case anything happens.

Check the port hasn’t changed in Roon > settings > ARC

FWIW OS 15 is working fine with my ROON / ARC / etc.

I am well aware I can always go back to a backup (which I can do pre beta), I think maybe as I use port forwarding that its something to do with that thats been effected.

I may just revert back to ios15 in the meantime, it isn’t world ending or anything, just wondering what it could be that would prevent it working.
