Matter Casting Support & Echo Devices

Does Roon have any plans to add support for Matter Casting? For those unaware, Matter Casting is an open standard for streaming wirelessly (among other things) that is a better alternative to Chromecast and Airplay. Matter Casting is used by Amazon devices like all the Echo / Fire devices as of late.

There are several threads out there discussing using an Echo Link and a WiiM streamer as a kludge to streaming over Echo devices. However that’s a half-solution at best. It’s not something that your average person would do/adopt and wouldn’t really do much in terms of gaining Roon additional marketshare. Nor is it something that can be relied upon to work consistently over time; these products change and their primary purpose is not to be kludged together to make another solution.

So, now that Harmon Intl. are Roon overlords, are there any synergies across the enterprise to leverage that would expand Roon compatibility for home automation and things like Echo devices and even Matter Casting?

Matter Casting is used by Amazon devices like all the Echo / Fire devices as of late.

But are there any indications that Matter Casting is being used or coming in the future to Echo audio only devices? The Echo and Fire devices cited thus far for Matter Casting seem to be video centric devices. And Matter Casting seems to be a means to get video to those devices. Audio only devices in the Amazon ecosystem have used and continue to use Alexa Cast per my understanding.
