Hi, I am using my Roon through Macbook Air into Mcintosh C53 preamplifier and I am wondering what volume setup I need to have. Currently, default setting is device volume and it says volume is fixed but I am wondering whether “fixed volume” option is preferable to “device volume” setting. I don’t seem to understand the difference between the two setups as both claim to have fixed volume. Also, I did not understand anything from Roon’s definition of device volume and fixed volume option. You can see my current setup below
