Whoever owns the rights to this album needs to sort their sh*t out. No digital purchase, no streaming, no vinyl reissue, nada!

That’s why I ended up buying it…from Russia, could not find it anywhere else.
Alright off for dinner.
Later chaps, toodley pip!

So the rumour I heard on the grape vine was that Kevin sold all his vinyl and bought Roon Labs inc.
Digital Music is being switch off on Sunday and the service is going all vinyl…

Oh my :see_no_evil::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Haven’t given this a “spin” for a while - one of my favourite metal albums.

Another recent favourite now on the go (Prog from Poland) whilst cooking dinner, and starting off the evening with a cheeky gin sidecar.

Its been quite a chill Christmas on the music front so while I am working away in my study I thought I would try some of the added for later list.
A nice bit of black metal here as a starter

And this one made it into my Bandcamp purchases.
Very good

Just bought full Havukruunu catalog last week from Bandcamp, I had thought about that for some time and now was the good time as I wanted to listen new Kuu Erkylän Yllä EP.

I know there is top10 album thread already but if you want to share your top 10 metal albums here that would be nice.

Here is mine, positions can be still change. For example I would not be surprised if In Mourning goes higher when it gets more listening time.

Maybe biggest thing was that there were many big good surprises from maybe little less known bands.

1914: Where Fear And Weapons Meet
The Silver: Ward of Roses
Aquilus: Bellum I
Opera Diabolicus: Death on a Pale Horse
In Mourning: The Bleeding Veil
Empyrium: Uber den Sternen
Archspire: Bleed the Future
Swallow The Sun: Moonflowers
Thy Catafalque: Vadak
Todd La Torre: Rejoice in the Suffering / Vokonis: Odyssey / Necronautical: Slain In The Spirit (had to pick 3 to last spot because could not decide…)

Ha ha most of mine shared in the other thread were already metal albums (only a couple that weren’t in the top top if I remember correctly).
Mine were based on most played so a few late ones like Moonflowers and Bellum I and Death on a Pale horse missed out for being played later in the year even though I think they would be in there, and Moonflowers and Death on a pale horse up near the top.

It was certainly a good year.

Yes, release date actually have big impact on how these lists are made, earlier are plaued more but newer ones are more recent and maybe have advantage in that way.

For example Perennial Isolation (black metal) was something I played a lot earlier this year but still did not make it to top10

Absolutely they are fresher in the memory.
Having watched the top 10 lists coming in this past two weeks I have gone back and listened to a few albums I really enjoyed early in the year again and really enjoyed then once again.
I have definitely purchased too much music this year :see_no_evil: :speak_no_evil:

I’m still finding new albums this year, not enough time lol. This is an awesome new find for me if you haven’t heard it yet, I must say that I highly recommend it!

Same here, much more purchased that I imagined in early 2021 but at the same time it feels good that (just checked) last 15 albums added to Roon are my own and not from streaming…

Doom is certainly not for all but those who like funeral doom Eye Of Solitude is worth checking out, I have been listening them a lot this week, here is one example.

That’s pretty impressive feat so well done on that.
I like to try them out on streaming and then buy the ones I really like mostly on Bandcamp if I can, though I have bought quite a lot without listening this year through pre-orders, and more than I ever have in year’s gone by.
