microRendu disappeared from Roon

microRendu, v2.8
Roon Ready v1.1.38

overnight both my microRendu and a RPi4 running Ropiee disappeared from Roon. I suspect from a very brief power outage. The RPi4 was NOT visible on the network, but restarting the device brought it back online, and back to Roon.

the microRendu IS visible on the network, and I can access the config page. however, Roon does not see it. have confirmed Roon Ready is the active service.

Roon Ready Diagnostic will not display, I receive a 500 Error.

older threads here suggest uninstalling the app and reinstalling, but in 2.8 I do not see a way to do that. soft and hard reboots have accomplished nothing.

Running Rock, Roon 2.0, build 1246 early access.

Double check that your DAC is turned on, not in standby, and set to the correct input.
My DAC goes into standby when first powered for example.
Rendu’s don’t appear in Roon unless the connected DAC is active.

thanks- this hasn’t historically been the case, at least in my system.

but, I turned my amp on (Quad VA-One+, which is a dac/integrated), restarted Roon config on the Rendu once more, and it worked.

and after turning off the amp, the Rendu still shows up in Roon.

appreciate the help!

Do you have access to Apps / DAC Diagnostics?

Power cycle (remove power) the DAC and then turn it on. Go to Rendu Settings and press Save in RoonReady.
Then got to Roon Settings on your server and see if the unit is listed in Devices. Enable it as needed.

it worked eventually.

I see two options for output in sooner settings. one is my DAC: Quad VA-One+. the other a generic USB output. if I select the Quad, the Rendu is not visible in Roon. If I select the generic USB out, Roon can see the Rendu. weird.
