Since the Orbiter is much more affordable: What are the actual differences between the MicroRendu and the Orbiter?

The Sonicorbiter SE is software project that builds on top of a standard CuBox. The microRendu is a software and hardware project with attention to making the best USB audio source.

From personal experience: microRendu + Teddy Pardo LPS beats Sonicorbiter SE + USB>S/PDIF converter reclocker (Bel Canto mLink) as sources to a Schiit Bifrost Multibit DAC > good amp & headphones. If I was doing this today, I’d try the UpTone LPS-1 PS instead of the Teddy Pardo, and indeed I have an LPS-1 on order for a second microRendu for a different system, currently waiting on my desk.
