Migrating NAS to external SSD - directory structure

ROCK NUC 10i7FNH Roon Core Machine - 8Gb
Mostly use iPhone/iPad to control Roon, occasional work on Windows 10 desktop.

I have been happily using a Synology DS415+ for my library for years and and planning to migrate to a Samsung T7 4Tb external SSD attached to ROCK.

I’ve seen the directions that recommend stopping Roon Server, deleting the watched folders, then adding the new watched folders and restarting the Server. That all seems straightforward.

THREE QUESTIONS:
(1) Does the SSD directory structure need to replicate the old NAS structure?
The new SSD, unlike the NAS, is a dedicated device and I would like to simplify the path to the music

OLD: \OldNAS\music\format\artist\album – format could be SACD, HiRes, FLAC, etc

PROPOSED NEW: \newSSD\format\artist\album

(2) Will my library, including Qobuz albums virtually in the library, remain the same?

(3) Any unpleasant surprises ahead, or is this a pretty seamless process?

Thanks in advance.

Number of Tracks in Library

3300 albums, 20% hi res (SACD, FLAC). About 40% are Qobuz albums.
