I am setting up Roon on a NUC and have the opportunity to buy an older (2014) iPad Air2 for cheap. It just has 16MB.
Wondering if it would be sufficient to control Roon (used for nothing else) and how long it will support the Roon app (until the OS becomes too dated).
Any applicable knowledge?

Should be fine I think. I used one for a while, as long as it can run 10.11.x IIRC you should be ok.
Of course as time goes by these older units might slip of the compatibly chart due to Open GL3 being replaced with something better…YMMV
Minimum iOS 11 is required for Roon Remote app.
