Minimum power required to operate SOtM sMB-Q370 motherboard + sCLK-EX clock

Good morning

I’m building a music server with a SOTM sMB-Q370 motherboard + sCLK-EX 24 and 25 Mhz clock

I installed a core I5 9500 + 16 GB of DDR4 2600 MHZ

there is also a 500 GB NVME Firecuda 530 SSD for the operating system
there is a Jcat USB XE card which is supplied with 5 Volt 3 A externally with a linear power supply

I have a Hifi HDplex 400 combo, on which
I connected the 19 Volt 6 A power supply that I have on another server
but it does not start

while on the other server on which I have an MSI B550 motherboard + AMD Ryzen 5700 G processor, no problem

so for now I have connected a 400 W Pc power supply,

  • the 24 pins of the motherboard
-the 8 Pins for the CPU
    -the Sata on the clock

motherboard boots and shuts down :flushed:

if I only connect the 24 Pins ATX and the SATA to the clock, it starts and stays on, then I connect the 8 Pins to the CPU and there I have access to the bios

Is it the lack of power?

I use Roon Server/Hqplayer embedded/Gentooplayer
thank you for your reply

I do not clearly understand your hardware status, but generally, in case of PC assembly issue: narrow down to motherboard + CPU (with heat sink and fan) + RAM + keyboard + display with power supply without anything else.

If that does not work, one of your key component is bad.

If it does boot, gradually add your hardware one piece at a time.

You should be able to find individual hardware component power consumption and sum them up, then add 30% margin to know how much you need.
