I’m not quite what your question is but I think the best explainations of this are in a number of the answers here in the section about in the studio but in other places as well.
Sorry philr, this are the same proposition we hear for a long time now and already missing scientific facts.
Look for example on figure 2 - I also can come up with such a diagramm with an total different message, but as this figure it would only be a nice picture with my personal opinion without any prove.
And also all other figures are worthless from a scientific point of view without telling us the test environment and the compared base data (which music files from which source did they compare?).
These are business presentations to sell a product not scientific evidence.
Hard facts and real independent peer reviews are what is needed.

Exactly. Simple questions unanswered:
1- Whats the scale and where is the zero? Graphs with no scale mean nothing (fig 1 & 2);
2- Fig 3: What are the conditions here?
3- Fig 5 is what I asked previously: most recording chains are not that simple.
I was referring you to the Q&As to try and help you understand your questions about how MQA corrects the ADC process. I was not putting the graphs forward as demonstration of anything so not sure why you are picking on them. Some of hem are titled notional and they are titled and they are not indented to be scientific demonstrations/proof.
No I have no association with MQA at all and have never met any of them.
Also I don’t remember using this term before and I can’t find that I have when I do a search.
Agreed Evan we are flogging a dead horse going any further with this so I will just shut up and enjoy the music and hopefully even more so when more MQA material is available.
Agreed, it’s a dead horse. I am reminded that ‘a man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still’.
I have no MQA association but am keen to see wide adoption.
MQA does not allow additional DSP to carry out without affecting its code integrity. You may want to do your homework before making such statement. By the way, you should rephrase your question: Why MQA is not yet implement in Roon?
Nope, it is not dead yet. Just as much you like MQA, I want MQA to be implemented into Roon and eventually Tidal to start streaming it. I’m not going to re-buy my collections neither do I want to buy a new DAC. Isn’t this at our best disposal?
Firstly, I am appalled moderators have let this slanderous remark stand.
Secondly, there’s no more scientific evidence for MQA as there is against it (possibly more against it given the analysis Jussi has actually done - no graphs without scales there).
Thirdly, MQA will likely not be in Roon per-se, as they will not allow software decoding. Of course Roon will pass on the signal untouched to an MQA DAC to decode (I don’t think this breaks). But the removal of Roon from the partners list indicates no budging here.
Frankly, I for one will not re-buy MQA content. If new content becomes available in MQA exclusively and I care to own it, of course I will buy that. I will consider some form of MQA decoding if and when it becomes an important part of streaming.
Forget all this MQA nonsense. There is a new thing called a “Compact Disc” You can spread peanut butter all over it, wipe it off and it will still play !!! I would have thought the stylus would have got stuck, but what do I know ?
This thread is out of control. I really wish the moderators would stop looking at this thread. Please leave them out of it. As for slanderous comments, the job of the moderators is to keep the forums civil, not to make judgement calls about the legality of false statements. This is an open forum after all, and we are on the internet.
As for your speculations on Roon + MQA, until you hear from us in an official capacity, all your speculations are as good as 12 year old kids talking about sex.
“Next spring” means the spring of 2017. Whether they can meet that date remains to be seen, and as others have noted, the real question is, when will all that music be available?
