I have 2 iMacs in the house and workshop both on the same LAN.
Both machines: OS Sonoma and Roon build 1359
ROCK server, Roon build 1359.
I have a Bluesound device in main listening area but want to use the Mac as output in the garage.
I may want to play different music at the same time in 2 locations.
How do I configure the Mac application so that it does not lock out the other one when it is running?
I am a lifetime member.
Nothing to configure as such, but you need to make sure the Roon Remotes on the iMacs are connect to Roon Server on ROCK (not a local Roon Server installation).
Hi, the problem was i had copied applications and data to a new mac and had forgotten that roon creates a unique id for each machine running the software
Complete uninstall using a 3rd party uninstaller and then a clean install on the new machine fixed the problem
I have had network problems with roon before when using a mac as the server
Basically never copy roon from one machine to another aways do clean installs
Thanks
