I have visited High End yesterday and I was extremely surprised that roon is a topic everywhere. Roon Ready seems to become an important feature. Companies like MBL, on the market since more than 30 years in extreme high end, announce Roon Ready streaming modules as breaking news.

So we seem to be on the right track.
