MusConv Playlist Importing

Hi. Looking to import playlists from other music services. For now particularly YouTube music. maybe others later. Musconv seems to be the only one that supports Roon. Anyone else used it? Thanks.

Have a look here:

In practice, none of these services support transferring into Roon directly. They only support transferring playlists into Tidal or Qobuz, which is then reflected in Roon.

That also means they will only ever match against tracks that exist on Tidal or Qobuz, as opposed to music files in your local library.

If you then want to add tracks to one of those transferred playlists — inside Roon — you’ll need to make a local copy of it. Which is then no longer kept in sync with the Tidal or Qobuz version :roll_eyes:

Going the other way, when you want to export a native Roon playlist to another service, Soundiz is probably best as Roon supports the Soundiz import format as an export format. Although that’s still a two-step manual process, that first requires you to export the playlist as a .csv file and then upload the file to Soundiz :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Thank you but looks like it only exports from Roon and not into. Plus subscription only. I’m getting sick of subscription services.

Roon seem to be a supported service. Think there’s a trial. Just always a bit sceptical of signing into unknown programs with my other accounts info.

Like @j_a_m_i_e suggests, nothing manages playlists within Roon.
But the services mentioned are pretty similar.

There are however several feature suggestions on the theme, i.e.
Allowing Roon to both export favorites/suggestions/playlists and also import them.
This would allow;
Sharing playlists and suggestions between fellow roonies!
Allowing users to sync two separate Cores if including edits.
Release us from the need to use third party alternates for playlist syncing
etc etc
