Again, I’ll say a no here. While things can go wrong with digital signal transmission it’s usually down to bad engineering/manufacturing. Once the signal becomes analogue all bets are off

So if I understood this correctly: I could just as well use high capacity usb flash drives without any SQ impact?

My NUC has 6 USB ports, so options are great. Arguably I could download or rip music to my laptop or desktop (saved as main copy) and copy high-capacity usb flash Drives - up to 6. With No downside?

6 ports? I don’t think you should be thinking about using the internal USB ports. They are not currently supported under ROCK:
