Does it make and difference in a ssd for music storage if it is usb powered vs ac powered ?

I use a 2.5" Seagate External Portable HD (USB powered) and it works fine.

Bought an enclosure and set up a two drive 2.5 inch SSD RAID. It is AC powered and connected to my iMac core. Works great.

I have a Kingston SSD drive and a PNY SSD drive inside…

Hope that helps…purchased at Frys Electronics in Southern California…
