Yes we listeners are living in a golden age of music: world class performances for mere pennies.
But I fear for professional musicians. While there will always be something magical about live performances, listeners are becoming hooked on CD quality sound. The demand for competent musicians will diminish. A nasty “side” effect, IMHO.
