"Nesting" of compositions

got a question for the community… what’s your "strategy for maintaining these kind of multiple works for a given opus?

Currently cleaning up my Chopin and I need to decide how I maintain my tags for the works on non-identified albums and how to merge compositions.
I’m struggling with how I should organize the Nocturnes for example. There are work entries provided by Roon for both ways.

I had initially maintained my own tags according to the “Nocturnes (2) op.27” grouping (putting No. and key in the PART tag), but I also have single work entries provided by Roon and in some of my own tags. So I’m really not sure at the moment which maintenance strategy to apply.

What would you do?

I think it’s a matter of personal choice, but I personally would stick with organizing by opus no. and then have the individual nocturnes as “parts,” as you’ve been doing. For other Chopin pieces, though, there aren’t any opus numbers, as described here:
