Two words: duct tape.
But Velcro is only one word
But I understand the flyaway nature of Piâs as I have 5 or 6 of them about for music related enjoyment and I swear they just jump down behind cupboards on their own
Yeah, also not the look I want. Itâs not in an isolated man-cave.
To each his own.
Iâve got one without a case that I purposely hid down the back of a cupboard in the bedroom!
To add to this: before using Roon I went from a MacBook running Audirvana (at the time well thought as a computer audio source) to an Arcam rPlay streamer (similar audio quality) to an Aurelic Aries G1 (it was a very big jump in audio quality - it just put a big smile on my face) - all of these were running into a Chord Qutest DAC, so galvanically isolated. I use a streamer now and would not go back to using a computer for my main system.
However, always audition the possibilities and then make up your own mind. You will hear lots of strongly held opinions here, and some of them will be almost like religious beliefs - just look through other threads to see this. So listen and trust your own ears.
I cured it with a Naim Unity Atom HE , 3 wires , one box , Ethernet/Headphone/Power . If you are brave 2 wires and wi fi
And mighty pretty (IMHO) and what points we get on the WAF ratings
Thats what the Darko doorstops are all about. Itâs a good idea and aesthetically more pleasing than tape. I use them on a number of lightweight devices now and they stay put. Including one of my switches which has a habit of being pulled down the back of the unit if I move something.
You know what, I have three of them, and in this warn weather all three of them are holding doors open for the first time in the 5 years or so since I bought them.
Maybe I need to buy a couple of smaller one to go on the new Pi and Netgear switch that has gone into my new Media rack.
But as far as Dual use devices go, these are hard to beat
Six words: âScotch Extreme Double-Sided Mounting Tapeâ. You can hang your Pi upside down on a ceiling and attach dangling weights for decoration and it will stay put. I use it to mount my Pis sideways on the backs of bedside dressers and stands, out of sight.
My solution is that I use a DAC that has streamer built in. I wanted streamer, DAC, and preamplifier and easiest solution was to buy NAD 658. Itâs not the cheapest way but very easy. I mostly use Roon as a streamer, but it nice to have a streamer for services that Roon is not supporting.
i now ended up with using my room core directly connected to my chord qutest. i also compared it with a raspberry pi as roon bridge, there was no difference.
