Ok, letās try a couple of things.
First, if you know what you are looking for, then a straight search is easiest. Just type āparadiseā into the magnifying glass. This is by far the easiest method.
If you want to browse, then Live Radio > Categories > Music
Then choose e.g. pop/rock and Radio Paradise Mellow Mix is on the 2nd or 3rd row.
Does that work?
OK I see what was happeningā¦when I was typing āparadiseā into the mag glass, it was finding the 4 RP streams I had already created manually in My Live Radio before v1.7 and since those generic stream icons a SO LARGE, they were taking up the whole display area on my laptop. I didnāt notice the āview allā button. When I hit that, I do see the new RP links. I still donāt understand why the generic icons have to be so ENORMOUS??? I can only see like 4 at a time due to their size. Isnāt there some way to get a list view or smaller icons? Will the icons shrink if I add artwork instead of leaving them generic?
Iām pleased you got there in the end.
(And unfortunately, it seems that the large icons are fixed at the moment.)
Thanks for the help - itās all good
Any chance to add the stream for gulchradio.com? These guys are running the station on what seems to be a shoestring, and are only supported by listener donations. They could use the exposure and any user donations that result. I have absolutely no affiliation with them. I just enjoy their station immenselyā¦thanks!
Happy to add the station, but we need a stream. Iāve had a quick search and canāt find one just now. You could try getting in touch with them and asking for a stream (this is always the best way).

Thatāll do. Iāll run up something. Tks.
Thank YOU!
Ok, should be there. Let me know if anything needs changing
Iāve added both of these stations to āMy Live Radioā in Roon. Though both of these links work, none of them are the stations that Iām looking for. Fox News isnāt the Fox News from the television broadcast and CNN isnāt the CNN from the television broadcast. Also, the sound quality on the āCNNā station is awful and I donāt even know what station it is?
I know that there are TuneIn links that exist because on my Bluesound App I can get CNN and Fox News. I can switch apps from Roon to Bluesound if I want to listen to news but it is inconvenient. If Iāve grouped speakers in Roon I have to then group them up in Bluesound and then ungroup them again in Roon. Itās a pain. Thatās why it would be best if Roon can get an official CNN and Fox News app in your new Live Radio feature.
If you come up with other links I will try them. Thank you.
https://www.955klos.com is the website http://player.listenlive.co/24591 is streaming I think.
looks goodā¦thx!
Ahh, I was specifically looking for standalone radio stations (not the audio from the TV). Iāll look some more when Iāve got time.
@brianw Thanks so much - thatās a great start - New Zealand now features in the list!
So what are Roonās preferred audio stream types? I had assumed m3u8 would have been great, I looked it up and it says itās same as m3u but with UTF8 formatting - which I thought was pretty standard.
I need to figure out what I can do about this - cause most of the good stations are missing lol.
Iām getting confused. Firstly, Roon states that Flac, aac and mp3 streams are what is wanted. I canāt add your m3u8 streams (although I can play them by simply pasting them into a chrome tab), but I can add others, e.g a BBC stream. Iāll investigate.
Awesome thanks. Maybe itās just a oversight in a filter somewhere and needs a minor enhancement or something. I do quite like this radio feature I have to say - Iād love to get it to the point where Squeezebox was at. Actually I do wonder if that catalog is open as that would be a fantastic open directory of global stations.
This seems to be a great resource for finding radio stream links across the world. https://fmstream.org/index.php?c=NZL&o=top
Ah! Now I see it! Thanks!
