Newbe question on HW spec

All

I’m playing with HQPlayer running as Desktop 5 version. Upsampling up to DSD256 feeding a SOtM 200, which is UBS connected to a Brooklyn DAC+. Standard settings of HQPlayer works (consuming almost 50% of CPU of a MAC mini M1). Howver, if choosing Oversmaplings like sinc-MGa etc. do result in silence.

Is there any advice regarding consumer grade HW specs for a performant working system?

Thanks, Stefan

Please note that you cannot use for example sinc-MGa in combination with Brooklyn DAC+ when source is 48k family, IOW 48/96/192/etc. You need to use a filter that can convert to multiples of 44.1k.

Also please make sure you don’t have “48k DSD” enabled in HQPlayer. And that your output rate limit is set to 44.1k x256.

Awesome! Will try and report back
