Non-Musical items that make the room “ours”

An original Australian Aboriginal artwork. A wedding present from my late father and finally got a decent spot to hang it.

This is a unique area photo of Sydney harbour taken somewhere in the very late 70’s / early 80’s by a distant relative of mine.

My gran has some relatives over there and one of them took her on a flight over Sydney and took this photo as a surprise for her.

A few years before she died she asked if there was anything I particularly wanted to be left and I’ve always loved this photo. It was in her house for as long as I could remember and I’d always been fascinated by it. So, I said I’d likeit and I’ve had it ever since.

Probably not hugely clear from the image but the detail right up to the edges is immense and the fisheye effect makes the bridge and opera house look 3D.

One of my most treasured possessions and another with a place in my listening room
