Yes, I thought that could be the case. But, when you connected your NUC directly to the Gateway, it was correctly assigned a local IP address. So the Gateway seems to work just fine. It’s the Pod which doesn’t work ok. If you have another Pod somewhere in your house, please try to connect the NUC to its Ethernet port, just to see if comes up well. If so, then you’d sensibly assume that the other Pod is damaged and look to change it for a new one.
My personal thought on this problem is that even if this setup with the XFinity Pods worked well for you in the past, it is a setup prone to eventually be affected by poor connection quality or to fail. If possible, the best solution is always a direct cable link to the gateway/router. This of course depends on the local situation of your home, but with a little effort this can often be achieved and then provide the most stable network connection.
