I changed from Esoteric C03 pre and Burmester 911 mk3 power amp to a relatively humble Devialet 220 Expert Pro. Great was my suprise and definitely an OMG moment when the Devialet sounded better to my ears, completely against my expectation. The change was motivated by plans to emigrate to a country with different power supply, 110v vs. 220. Now 5 years later I am still a happy owner and will probably never sell the Devialet.

I have my equipment on granite slabs in the rack. Now I have mounted new rubber buffers between the rack and the granite plates. 28 pieces 2 €. 12 x 3 mm. From the hardware store. I am blown away how much this change brings.
As in total rack space height occupied?

I actually did not look at it from this stance, but you are right! The rack looks fuller.
The other advantage: I can use velcro tape to fix the power cables, so they are at least 10 cm away from the signal cables. That blows too.
A lot of good things that cost nothing. So I can go and order the Esoteric K-05XD now.

I just looked up that device. That’s another OMG moment for me right there!
Once my dealer gets it, I can try it for some time. He is waiting quite a while for it already. But I‘m not in a hurry. My old Pierre Lurné broke down and now I need a replacement.
Actually my new speakers, Wilson Alexia 2, produced some OMG too.
