One Band, but two entries in Roon (not in Qobuz)

If you search for “clandestine amigo” in Roon, you will find the following entry:

A band with one Album.
But if you know them, you know, there are at least five to find.

If you search for the band, but with one of the other albums you can find:

Now the discography shows all the other albums.

If you look up the band directly in the Qobuz app, the band will be found, and all albums are present, so it’s Roon that is splitting it up.

Not a big issue but an odd one. And I ask myself, does this happen also to other bands?

Usually this means that there is no album overlap in the Discographies from different metadata providers.

I’ve noticed this issue once in awhile.

And what will be Roon’s remedy?

I just merge the artists (if I am understanding your problem correctly).

How would I merge the artist[s] into the one artist?

Even if this would work, means I am dealing with symptoms, not with causes.
I am expecting Roonlabs to solve unnecessary splitting of Artists.
Furthermore „search“ only shows one of those artists.
This metadata issue is not what a user can solve.

List all artist from the “Artists” button on the left side menu.
Select the ones you want to merge and there should be a “Merge Artists” button at the top right of your screen.
Select the primary artist and you should be done.
