It seems like, since Roon 1.6 rolled out, Roon’s servers have suffered more than a few slowdowns and outages–the cost of success, I suppose.
It would be nice to have a public status page for Roon’s backend services, automated with regular queries. E.g., put an orange flag next to the search service if a canned search takes longer than it should; red, if it doesn’t work at all. That way, when Roon slows down, users (as well as Roon support staff) can tell whether the problem is on the their end or if there’s a server-side problem.
An obvious example: AWS’s status page.
