Does anyone have an idea about the following problem? I have created a stereo pair of 2 Homepod Minis via the Homeapp. Both speakers play via the music app, with Roon only the left mini plays. I have disconnected and reconnected the pair, restarted the Roon server (Macmini) and disconnected and reconnected the pair in the audio settings, all to no avail
Yes, I have also had this experience (repeatedly). Including a pair of boxes that are connected to a 4k Apple TV.
Removing, restarting and adding them again in the Roon app did not produce the desired result: one box remained silent. Or the paired boxes were suddenly listed in Roon as individual HomePods.
I repeatedly restarted my ROCK server and the HomePods: without success.
The quickest way to get all the boxes working again was as follows:
- Reset the HomePod Minis (factory setting)
- Reinstall and configure as stereo setup.
- It probably helped that the Roon server remained switched off until the HomePod configuration was complete.
- Finally, add the HomePods in Roon again.
Time required: approx. 10 minutes (with practice)
