Opticalrendu wrong SD card

Hi,

I just received a new 2.9 SD card for the OpticalRendu but think it’s been set up for a microrendu. I definitely ordered the right one, but when I put it in, the light on the OpticalRendu stays red constantly, even though I can access the web settings. However, also in the network settings it says “mrendu-010242” and the browser tab is labelled “microRendu”.

For whatever reason, I’m not getting any communication with UK supplier guys, I hope everything is okay there, i’m a bit worried to be honest, normally they’re very quick communicating and trying to help.

But anyway, does anybody know if there’s any way I can reconfigure this SD card for the OpticalRendu please?

Unfortunately I think you probably have something else going on as I’m fairly sure the card for the mrendu and orendu are the same and interchangeable.
I had both units at same time, the orendu card fried and I just put the card in from the mrendu and it worked instantly.
Now this was a few years back and they might have changed it of course.

Yeah, I’m not sure though because I’ve still got my other SD card And when it eventually connects, sometimes, The lights change from red to orange to green. But that’s when it connects, because it’s becoming incredibly temperamental and Been taking 30 minutes to an hour some days to try and get it to work. so that’s why I decided to get another SD card.
So when I put the new SD card in it booted up immediately and very quick, but the light didn’t change from red and it says microRendo. I wonder if I change the name in the Settings page to opticalRendu might help, but I doubt it and I don’t want to try anything unless someone says it’s okay.
Like I said, I contacted the UK supplier Who I purchased it from, but just not getting any replies for whatever reason.

Well hopefully @Jesus_Rodriguez will see this and chime in cos if he does not know then nobody does…lol.

It’s awkward, but it won’t harm the operation of the unit. Hopefully Martin will respond soon if not we can help you out.
