In large libraries it can be extremely helpful to have a 1-2 sentence written excerpt summarizing an album’s value or main benefits that one can quickly read and browse through, be it in playlists or just scanning through focused searches.
For example, I collect a lot of techno and it would be great to see little excerpts like this that show during a search:
“Stunning, explorative Techno / IDM integration”. or
“Dark stepping, slightly EBM oriented Industrial Techno cuts”
Seeing these helps me nail down what I want to listen to based on my current mood. I realize that these tracks can be collected into playlists but it’s hard to find a group of tracks all around a common mood but writing my own excerpts can help with this greatly.
