Only some points:
- The AL32 seems as Roon endpoint limited to 24/96 multichannel
- The AL32 don’t support DSD (resampling to PCM)
- Roon itself supports no Atmos
- Roon has no decoder integrated, but supports multichannel flacs until 8 channels
- Roon supports DD and dts, if you encoupsel it in a flac container (but shows it as stereo and can’t use then any dsp from Roon, because you’ve to send the native stream)
- For ripping SACDs you need an external player, which supports it
I’ve a lot of multichannel resources (SACD, DVD-A, Bluray Audio, Bluray Video, dts CDs, music dvds, downloads,…) but also multiple Roon endpoints, which handle them in a different way, connected to my AVP through HDMI or analogue.
Otherwise I’m using for not really supported formats some BluRay player.
