I am using my iPad to play Roon. I also have Roon on my IPhone as well.
I am not sure if maybe my memory is failing, but I could have sworn that when clicking a song (short click) in a playlist on my ipad that a menu would pop up and ask “play from here, play now, add to queue, etc” and you could select how to play the track. That pop up is no longer showing up on my ipad.
Currently it seems to automatically be playing the tracks as “play from here” in my playlist. I know I can change the default settings, however I mainly just want to have that pop up menu show up again when I quickly tap on a track.
I do know if you long press on a track the menu at the top of the screen (on ipad Roon) will be highlighted, but it doesn’t give you the option to select how to play it. (Play from here vs play now).

How do I get the pop up to show up again on my iPad version?
I don’t have an iPad but I know on my android tablet the menu that pops up depends on where you click.
If I tap once on the song title text (or anywhere without another hotkey area) in the playlist I get the pop up you show.
Other hotkey areas would be the artwork - which takes you to the album
any blue text, the round “play now” button, the three dots to the far right, or the six dots to drag the track to re-order the list.
The Play actions are customisable for each Roon Remote individually, it sounds as though you need to go to Settings > Play actions on your iPad and adjust your Play actions. The “6 dots” by each setting are drag handles so the you can alter the list order.

Yes, I have played around with that but it it doesn’t make the “pop up” menu re-appear which is what I am looking for.
I understand that the Settings->Play Actions menu can be changed so that the track would play automatically however you set it up there, however, what I am looking for is for the “pop up” to appear when clicking on a track so you can choose in that moment how you want to play the track. That seems to have disappeared from my iPad app, but still appears from my mobile iphone app.
It seems as if you are trying to do this from within a playlist. For each context (album, artists, tracks, playlist, compositions) the menu has to be set individually. Maybe that’s what’s the matter here?
Also, these settings are device dependent… so you will have to set them on every device seperately.
