My iPad currently controls my Roon server on a Mini Mac M1 which, via wi-fi, streams to my Bluesound Node2i which connects to my amp and speakers. My question is I’d like to output Roon to my dedicated desktop speakers via the headphone jack on the iPad. Can this be done and if so, what’s the best way to connect to those speakers? Would I need a DAC wired in between the iPad and speakers? Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Yes, simply enable the iPad as a zone. No need for an external DAC although, depending on your speakers, it may be worthwhile buying something like an AudioQuest DragonFly and Apple Camera Adapter for improved sound reproduction and exclusive mode.
