Hi Everyone! This isn’t exactly a Roon specific question but I would love to play some of my SACD discs over my KEF LS 50 Wireless II system. When I connect my disc player it will play redbook but nothing plays when I try to play SACDs with or without Roon. Anyone out there have any ideas? Thanks in advance.
SACD discs are encrypted over a digital output. If you want to play SACD’s to your speakers you will need to use the analogue output of the player to analogue - in of KEF’s.

That, or you could go to the trouble of ripping your SACDs to DSD64 DSF files as many of us have done. Looking at the specs for the KEF LS50 Wireless II, it seems that it should be able to play these files without having Roon convert to PCM.
Don’t take care about SACD (DSD) with your KEF LS 50. They will accepting over network until DSD128, but internal they are working with PCM and so it’s better sending PCM than DSD.
