Why all played songs automatically added to Playlists?

In Lumin app settings, turn “Add Album to Playlist” to Off.

P.s Is there any Audio difference between the Lumin App (Tidal) ver’ IOS Tidal App ?
Both Lumin app native Tidal playback and Tidal app (set to highest quality) Tidal Connect result in the same digital bitstream if you play the same version of the same track.

Using Tidal streaming. All I have is the Lumin and a preamp and power amp.
No nas. No other device.
As seen in the photo, I’ve disabled the “add playlist “ but this doesn’t effect the playlist to grew.

The Lumin :
I tested Lumin app 9.2.1 on iPad, set Add Album to Playlist to Off. I tap on a single track in Tap, only that track is added to the current playlist for playback, not the whole album. It is behaving correctly.

My question regards why playlist is needed if I don’t use it. ?
Is there any option NOT to add to playlist at all ? (one track or an album )
Lumin app centers around the current playlist. On Lumin app, there is no way to “not use the playlist”. If you don’t like this model, use Roon / Tidal app / Spotify app.

@wklie is there any way to leave the current song playing while deleting the remainder of the playlist? If not, could this option be added?
