Roon Software Discussion Live Radio

Hi,

I have a funny behavior of Roon Live Radio regarding RadioEins (http://www.radioeins.de/livemp3) and other RBB stations. When my MikroTik HAP Lite Switch is configured as bridge using LAN only everything works well. When I am configuring the switch as a wifi client (bridge, too) stations with “https” do work and with “http” don’t.

RadioEins do offer an alternative stream (https://www.radioeins.de/live.m3u). Would it be possible to add this URL as an alternative to RadioEins?

Or has anybody an idea to tell Roon also to play “http” streams?

Hello @Thomas_Forster , I’ve updated the URLs for the station (both http unfortunately for you) - the https don’t seem to work in Roon.

Thanks a lot for the quick answer.

I’ve added the https stream as “My Live Radio” and it works. So everything is fine for now.

Have to find out why it is running via LAN, but not running via wifi.

Ahh, that https .m3u playlist points to an http URL - which is what I added. So you are not using https at all.

Maybe the problem is that the RBB streams which are working running on their own websites.

The ones not working all have an address starting with http://dispatcher.rndfunk.com…

Obviously another platform for streams

KUTX out of Austin is changing their streaming infrastructure as described here: New stream information | KUT Radio, Austin's NPR Station

The old streams will stop working tomorrow (April 20, 2024) so is it possible to update those URLs?
