Please report station errors here

An interesting wrinkle - using the .m3u file works but Roon doesn’t display metadata. Using the streams directly gets metadata. Hence for now I’ve gone with the 2 streams rather than the .m3u.

I’ll have to check if this phenomenon occurs elsewhere…

Thanks @BrianW and @BlackJack! Both of the updated streams are working at my end. Cheers folks!

Description Of Issue

Sinds a couple of weeks I get an error (station unavailable …) when trying to play the radio station classsic NL. It looks like the URL has changed. Because this station is in the Roon database I cannot edit the URL.

The New URL is : http://playerservices.streamtheworld.com/pls/CLASSICFM.pls

The one in the database is
http://21303.live.streamtheworld.com/CLASSICFM.mp3

If you go to My Live Radio there is a button to add a URL. I think you should be able to enter that URL there.

Thanks Guy. Indeed I can add the station manually as a new station. But I cannot edit the one in the Roon database. I think that can only be done by Roon staff.

I suspect you’re correct about that.

Hello @Wim_Schinkel, you’re right, the url has changed, thank you for letting us know.

The .pls url points to a playlist and Roon sometimes has trouble with these. Therefore I’ve added a couple of direct streams from that playlist. I hope things are OK now.

One of my favorite live radio stations did an upgrade to a new server and their URL stream changed. I tried editing the old one and also adding it as a new station but get the same error for both: Roon could not find a radio station at this URL.
The new URL is: https://cp5.shoutcheap.com:18003/stream
I can paste it directly into my safari browser and it plays. The station is Quiet Village radio.
Thanks

Hello @Steven_Mize, that station wasn’t in our database, so I’ve added it for you. Quiet Village Radio

The URL you have is of a form that currently hits a known bug in Roon - URLs with port numbers with https protocol.

Fortunately I’ve found an alternative http form
http://cp5.shoutcheap.com:8003/stream
and have used this.

Thank you Brian! It is working now.

Hi, https://nowyswiat.online/ not working now. It’s great Polish radio station. Station has worked last week, now I get error (track failed to load)

Hello @Pawel_Chmielewski, yes the aac stream no longer works. I could only find a rubbish alternative that is so bad I won’t add it. However the mp3 stream should be OK - yes?

@BrianW yes, mp3 streaming working fine, thanks!

91X and 94.9 in San Diego have changed their url.

Many thanks!
Sean

Hello @Sean_Branam, I’m a bit unclear what you mean here.

The 91X stream works OK for me and we didn’t have the 94.9 San Diego station in our database. However, I’ve now added that as Alt 94.9 (it’s a US only station).

If I’ve misunderstood, please let me know.

I am aware that Radio Cumbernauld flac stream is not working.
I’ll continue monitoring.

EDIT Back up but only as aac

Awesome!. Well that’s odd, it wasn’t working and when I went and researched the URL. I saw the URL had actually changed, but now its back to the same one…

Well thanks for adding 949!!
Much appreciated.

WNRN 91.9 no longer works. Roon says the address may have changed
