So, my Mac mini server died and bought a new one.
Restored Roon from a backup.
Went to RoonArc and had to connect to new server, this deleted all my downloads. Appears there is no restore option for the music downloaded.
Not a great experience. Need todo it all manually.
I had the same experience! Downloaded everything again. Shouldn’t really happen!
This is currently a known limitation in ARC: If you switch to a new server or even just restore a backup, it is considered a new server and ARC must re-sync. One of the consequences is that it loses the downloads.
For backups, a solution is hopefully on the horizon. I’m not sure if this extends to new servers:
