Primary Artist Duo (or more) Best Practice

I added this (wonderful) album to my Roon collection: Una libélula me dijo | José Soberanes + David Escallón | Ediciones Éter

A few days later I went looking for it by searching for “David Escallón,” one of the artists. Because the Primary Artist credit in Roon is “José Soberanes & David Escallón” I was unable to find the album. I should add that Roon’s metadata sources do not recognize the album.

How do people handle this? I’m sure there’s info buried in posts here and I’ve found a few nuggets but they all involve manually retagging the artists. I did so, as “Primary Artists.” Is this the right way to handle this? Do I lose something by handling things this way? Is there an automated way to manage this?

Thanks, Roon Hivemind for your help (in advance)!

Personally with an ampersand “&” delimiter I re-tag on a case by case basis. I want to manually decide whether to retain a duo (e.g. Simon & Garfunkle) or split a duo (e.g. Marc Bolan & T-Rex) But roon allows you to specify in import settings which artist delimiters you want roon to treat automatically. The default is a semi-colon “;” but I have added a few other common delimiters that I personally don’t need manual control over. You need to experiment. A lot of this is going to depend on your own artists and library.
