Feel like there have been problems with QNAP Roon Server for months now. I have removed and reinstalled Roon Server and added guest privileges but I still get the loading jellyfish on all my devices. The only thing I have not done is let my devices try to load overnight but that should not be necessary. I am running a TS-253be with over 8gb of memory and Build 952.
Try once to leave it loading overnight. My TS-253D works almost normally nowadays but after every update on Roon it takes an hour or two to reconnect to the core. Once it took longer and leaving it running overnight might eventually connect to core.
Very under specified for a roon core. Celerons do work but not surprised you have issues on updates.
If you do have continuing problems after an overnight run them post in the support category as that’s where roon support team look.
Thanks everyone. I ended up deleting the Roon directory using admin privileges and then restarting the server to re-check all of my music again. It is now working as expected. I just have to wait for everything to be indexed and downloaded but at least it works. I will not restore a backup because I am worried that will reintroduce the problems. Thanks all.
