If you want to keep Roon 1.8 (Legacy) you need to use the same (legacy) version on your clients. If you want to change to a current Roon, please install a current RoonServer app on your nas. Follow the instructions on the project page:

Who cares? You should open the QNAP App Store on your NAS anyway.
